I acknowledge the impossibility involved with heavy things; transpierced light, the complexity in the way in which a book leans more than anything in its pages
but the drawstring to the blinds it sways unfailingly
during this lecture now in the corner, just enough so that the shadow sways too –
despite what is said
we share this now, no god decreed: “white string on white wall”
it is more because it sways this way and more still because I saw it

flawlessly gets stuck when I open it
I pull her down over my eyes
when I don't want to see someone walking
she then reveals her metal secretly in a snag of her fraying dress
when we walk together
